Wire mesh is commonly specified by the ‘mesh count’, the number of wires per linear inch, sometimes represented with the hash symbol (#). A small mesh count sheet will have larger holes and a high mesh count will have very fine holes. Inoxia currently stocks stainless steel woven wire between 4# and 400#.
When choosing which mesh count, one of the first questions to ask is “What is the largest particle that could acceptably pass through?” For example, a fuel pump can tolerate much larger particles than a fuel injector. You can also visit our mesh recommendations page for an extensive list of applications.
Sheets are available in pre-cut squares, if you need anything larger or different, you can have custom sizes from 1.2m wide rolls, just get in touch with your requirements.
Wire mesh cut on the diagonal, so the wires are at 45 degrees to the cut lines.
