Shape

Rectangular

Simple squares and rectangles are the most popular version of this filter, but we can fabricate other flat polygons such as hexagon filters and octagonal filters. There are also methods for creating complex shapes, either with the bent round bar frame, or with a flat laser cut frame. We can work from simple dimensions, templates, drawings, or CAD models.

Frame and Edges

Roundbar

4mm and 6mm stainless steel round bars are the most popular frame material. These options are in stock and offer good strength and economy. 4mm rods are bent with an external radius of 9mm, 6mm rods with 11mm radius. Non-stock diameter rods, or even square and hex bar can be used. Bent round bar frames are designed to a maximum tolerance of +/-2mm, but +/-1mm is typically achieved. Mesh is fully seam welded, or for coarse mesh, every individual wire is spot welded to the frame. The weld is then ground and polished to make a smooth transition between the mesh and frame.

Mesh / Aperture Options

2 - 500 mesh are available, covering aperture sizes from 11mm down to 27 microns. These are stocked in 304L and 316L Stainless steel, our frame materials are usually selected to match the mesh alloy. Special Requirements

We are always happy to take on special requirements, previous jobs include irregular polygon filters, template matching, precision tolerance and additional framework.

Whether you need a single unit, a batch of 10-100, or a production run of 1,000+ filters, our team is equipped to deliver. Significant price breaks are offered for multiple unit orders, or sets, of the same size, but different aperture size.
