Xanthan Gum
Xanthan Gum is used in the Oil Industry for drilling and thickening mud in large quantities. These fluids serve to carry the solids cut by the drilling bit back to the surface. Xanthan Gum can be added to concrete poured underwater to increase its viscosity and prevent it washing back out. It can also be used to create water gels and is used in conjunction with Bentonite Clay for cosmetic applications, it is soluble in both hot and cold water and is ideal for thickening and adding volume to lotions, creams & gels.
